Compliance position
GuestLoop QR is designed to keep restaurants away from review-policy violations. This is not a review-gating product.
What we will never let the product do
- Make a gift conditional on leaving, editing, or removing a public review.
- Hide the public review option only from unhappy guests.
- Ask guests for five-star reviews or specific wording.
- Request that guests show staff a posted review for a discount.
- Send marketing messages without explicit, separate consent.
- Pre-check marketing consent boxes.
What we do
- Separate three flows: private feedback, service-recovery rewards, and public-review invitations.
- Show the same review-link wording to all guests, or to none — never to "happy guests only."
- Log every consent (text, locale, version, timestamp, and hashed source).
- Apply data minimization, encryption-at-rest for PII, and tenant isolation.
- Keep a human in the loop for every public review reply.
- Provide regional templates for GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25, CASL, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and CCPA.
